Chlorzoxazone

Indications:
Muscle Relaxant; Used in acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions

Dosage:
Adult – 250 to 750 mg in 3-4 doses daily
Paediatric – 125 to 500 mg in 3-4 doses daily

Mechanism of Action:
Not entirely understood; inhibits calcium influx in muscles

Side Effects:
Lack of appetite, coloured stools, nausea, drowsiness
