Indications:
Antihistamine; used to treat runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu
Dosage:
Adult – 4 to 20 mg daily in divided doses
Mechanism of Action:
Functions via selective inhibition of peripheral H1 receptors
Side Effects:
Constipation; diarrhoea; dizziness; drowsiness
