Indications:
Proteolytic enzyme; Anti-inflammatory agent – Used for reducing facial swelling after surgery to clear the sinuses
Dosage:
Adult – 15 to 50 mg daily in divided doses
Mechanism of Action:
Functions via hydrolysis of histamine, bradykinin and serotonin thereby reducing inflammation
Side Effects:
Allergic reactions, minor aches and pains
