Miconazole

Indications:
Antifungal; Used in oral thrush, athlete’s foot, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis

Dosage:
Adult – Apply 50 mg once a day to affected region

Mechanism of Action:
Imidazole; Inhibition of ergosterol synthesis results in increased cellular permeability causing leakage of cellular contents

Side Effects:
Change in taste, diarrhoea, dry mouth, headache
