Clarithromycin

Indications:
Antibiotic; Used to treat skin and respiratory system diseases; Also used in treatment of stomach ulcers

Dosage:
Adult – 500 to 1000 mg daily in divided doses
Paediatric – 250 to 500 mg daily in divided doses

Mechanism of Action:
Macrolide antibiotic; Inhibits protein synthesis in bacterial cells

Side Effects:
Dysgeusia, cough, fever or chills, hoarseness

CLARITHROMYCIN
