Indications:
Antibiotic; Used in the treatment of tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, gonorrhea, and infections of ENT
Dosage:
Adult – 500 to 1500 mg (maximum) daily in divided doses
Paediatric – Divided doses up to 500 mg (maximum) daily
Mechanism of Action:
Antibacterial – Inhibits penicillin binding proteins
Side Effects:
Bad, unusual, or unpleasant (after) taste; Gastric disturbances
Precautions: Allergy to Penicillin, Renal disease
