Caffeine

Indications:
Central nervous system stimulant; Used in Headache and Migraine medications; Neonatal apnea

Dosage:
Adult – 15 to 50 Milligram daily in divided doses

Mechanism of Action:
Works via stimulation of the respiratory centre and increases minute ventilation

Side Effects:
Feeding intolerance; Agitation
